People are always asking us what we watch and listen
to when we're not on the run. Here are some of our favorite CDs, DVDs
and books!
Imagination
Movers
These four fellas from New Orleans just cut a deal with Disney, so
you're gonna be seeing a lot more of 'em! Buy Imagination Movers' latest
CD, Eight Feet! It's Bdonk's current favorite!

Candy
Band
"What happened when a bunch of Detroit mothers with the soul
of the Ramones and the Stooges got together and started playing nursery
rhymes for their sugar-crazed kids?" We won't ruin the surprise
for you, but let's just say that the moms in Candy Band are awesome!

The
Wiggles
Bdonk loves The Wiggles. He's always like "Hey, do you have my copy
of The Wiggles Hoop-Dee-Doo It's A Wiggly Party DVD?" and
Skree is like "No, I have your copy of The Wiggles Wiggly Safari
on VHS and I think Wkewke has your copy of The Wiggles Hoop-Dee-Doo
It's A Wiggly Party." And then Wkewke turns around and says
"Yo Bdonk, I don't have your copy of The Wiggles Hoop-Dee-Doo
It's A Wiggly Party! Don't you remember mistaking a Wiggles DVD for
a bagel? You put in the toaster and the label looked like it said 'Thwggle
HooopDedoits AWigglsdfwu Parrrmmdfi.' Apparently it's time for
Bdonk to buy another copy of The Wiggles Hoop-Dee-Doo It's A Wiggly
Party DVD.

Ralph's
World
Sing it along with Ralph! Ralph's World...Ralph's World...RALPH'S....WORLD!
Actually the best song is M-O-M-M-Y needs C-O-F-F-E-E. Because it's true.
But overall we owe Ralph Covert mad props because he's our Chicago home
slice, and he's on the Mini Fresh label, which is a Chicago record label
that launched another Chicago band called Veruca Salt who got really popular
a while back. Ralph teaches Wiggleworms (more wormy than The Wiggles)
music classes for kids at the Old
Town School of Folk Music too. What's more, Ralph used to be in a
band called The Bad Examples, but we don't think he's a bad example at
all. Ralph's World rocks!

They
Might Be Giants
The folks on the Bzots team were into They Might Be Giants starting with
their album Flood. If they were still in college, that would
mean they were cooler than you were because they heard of a relatively
unknown band before you had. His buddy Scott turned him onto They Might
Be Giants' first album, which was titled, oddly enough, They Might
Be Giants. Or was it Lincoln? Hard to remember. So Scott would then
be cooler than the folks on the Bzots team because he had heard of them
one album earlier than the Bzots team. But at any rate, They Might Be
Giants' great album No! has lots of fun songs for parents and
kids with great lyrics, and it even has some fun interactive stuff on
the CD that you can play when you drop it into your computer. But beware
of the lullabyes at the end of the CD - you don't want to be driving the
minivan when those come on.

Make
Baby Laugh
The Make Baby Laugh DVD series features parents and their kids and their
parents giggling together. No silly, they're not just sitting there giggling!
They're doing stuff that make each other giggle, like playing hide and
seek, knocking over teacups at the local tea party, and tossing yellow
foam balls at the family pet. Great fun with an awesome laid-back soundtrack
that you'll play almost as often as you watch the DVD. Definitely a family
favorite.

Edgar
and Ellen
Their first book, Rare Beasts, is about a brother and sister
named Edgar and Ellen. These mischievous little cretins live in a creepy
house on the edge of town, and they're always causing trouble for the
citizens of Nod's Limbs. If you're into the dark and creepy kind of stuff
like Scooby Doo and Edward Gorey, you'll totally be into Edgar and Ellen.
So much for the passive entertainment choices we've served up earlier
in the page - to enjoy Edgar and Ellen, you'll need to be able to READ,
but you can definitely slack off and check out all the great eye candy
by illustrator Rick Carton.

Bzots
But, of course, our favorite thing in the whole world is us! I mean, The
Wiggles, Ralph's World, They Might Be Giants, Giggle Together and Edgar
and Ellen are all really cool, but what could possibly be more funkelectrockalicious
than our band of 8-foot-tall robots? Kids and their Gen-X parents love
our crazy silly-dance-inspiring DVDs and CDs. You should too!
